How to Celebrate A Book Launch

Posted by on Apr 4, 2013 in Fiction | 2 comments

Balloons ordered? Check.

Plates and Napkins purchased? Check.

Cake bought? Need to buy tomorrow morning at Costco.

When Delivered with Love, my debut novel, was released, our family was grieving the death of a family member and I didn’t celebrate like I should have. The release day came and went. I had some book signings, helped spread the word about the book through blogs, and even did a radio show, but I didn’t mark the occasion with a celebration.

After countless hours of writing, revising, and editing The Heart Stone, I decided this time around to have a party to introduce my “book baby” to the world. And guess what? You’re all invited! I know some of you don’t live in the area and it would be impossible to come. No worries. I’ll be thinking of you, my dear readers, and rejoicing that God has blessed me with such supportive and wonderful friends.

Here’s the information:

Where: Inklings Books & Things (near Sears) in the Capitola Mall, Capitola, CA

When: Saturday, April 6th, 2013, 2-4 p.m.

Why: TO CELEBRATE!

“They celebrate your abundant goodness, and joyfully sing of your righteousness.” Psalm 145:7

How do you celebrate when God helps you fulfill a dream?

Laura, we’ll have to have our picture taken together. I’m glad you’re bringing a friend. You should see the cake! It’s chocolate with blue and yellow flowers and ‘The Heart Stone’ written on it! Fun!

    I can’t wait! I’m bringing a friend too.
