Twelve-year-old Allie Flannigan is one step closer to proving to herself and everyone at Blue Hills Middle School that she is not a loser by joining the planning committee to create the Best Harvest Party Ever!
When a family emergency keeps Allie from showing up to the planning meetings, Zoe, the Diva Cat, questions Allie’s loyalty, which pushes Allie to sign up for the job nobody wants. Even Lily and Claire, Allie’s two best friends, along with her crush Jackson O’Connell, have important jobs to do. Can Allie be a team player?
Then, when Mia, one of Zoe’s Kitty Cats, challenges Allie to go against Zoe’s legendary dessert at the Harvest party and enter the bake-off, Allie jumps at the chance. After all, her grandma is the best baker in town and could teach her. But can Allie follow in her grandma’s footsteps and make a dessert all by herself for the bake off? Does she have any talent at all?
I love to write for 8-12 year old girls to help connect them to their faith. I'm also passionate about women's fiction that reconnects lives and brings new discoveries along the way.
