It’s 1910 and Anna Lewis wants to become a premier watercolor artist of the lush beaches of Carmel, California. When a man strides down the beach and stops to face the ocean, Anna sketches him into her painting. Was it a mistake? Anna thinks so when he tells her he doesn’t have spare change to purchase her work. Spare change indeed! But while she seeks God’s leading for her art career, she’d better keep her day job as nursemaid to two rambunctious boys.
The minute Charles Jordan walks away, he regrets criticizing the woman’s painting but as he told the artist, he’s just been jilted at the altar.
How will a secret from Charles’ past affect his chances of loving again? And how will Anna have the hope she needs when tragedy strikes and she must rely on the one man who crushed her spirit?

What Others Are Saying
Watercolor Dreams by Sherry Kyle charmed me. The breezy seaside setting, the historical details, and the entertaining side characters are delightful, but the theme and the conflicted characters take this sweet romance deeper. I highly recommend this novel! ~ Sarah Sundin, author of In Perfect Time
A sweet historical romance, with some twists I didn’t see coming! Sherry Kyle did a great job keeping this light and humorous, while still keeping the story moving. I recommend it! ~ Misty Bellar, Goodreads review
I really enjoyed this book. The story line and the characters had me pulled in from the first pages. It is wonderfully written historical romance that captures the essence of the early 1900’s. ~ Ann, Goodreads review
Not only is there romance, forgiveness, and faith, but there is mystery too. The story line shows us how important our family is, and it shows us the love that God has for us. ~ Joy, Goodreads review
Absolutely wonderful! Loved the main characters. The children, well that was an adventure in itself. Heartwarming, suspense, mystery, exciting, as well as sweet, and even though faith was in it, it was just right amount, done tactfully, not pushy and preachy. ~ Hannah, Goodreads review
I enjoyed the book. The characters were believable and it was easy to get caught up in the story. It had many twists and turns and I didn’t want to put the book down. I look forward to reading more books by Sherry Kyle. ~ Maria, Goodreads review
Ms Kyle has a wonderful way of putting her characters in situations that are both tension-filled and humorous. The ending was very satisfying and it really felt like I knew each of the characters well, like old friends. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a story of true love in an historical setting. You will fall in love with Charles and Anna’s story just like I did. ~ Laura, Goodreads review
